About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Human Development at California State University San Marcos. I am also a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY33951) with clinical and research expertise in maternal, child, and family mental health, coping with trauma and adversity, and culturally responsive care.

Education & Training

After completing my undergraduate education in psychology at Tufts University,  I worked for the Harvard Study of Adult Development at Massachusetts General Hospital. I also worked for Sangath in Goa, India, on integrating mental health services into schools and adapting an intervention for children with autism to the local community. 

Next, I completed my M.A. and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where I also completed a Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences emphasis.  I completed my Clinical Internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California Irvine Conte Center.
